Protecting the environment is a top priority at DivCon. We constantly explore opportunities to reduce waste and utilize less hazardous solvents and material while still meeting our customer’s high-quality expectations. Below are a few of the responsible steps we take to be good stewards of the environment.
- Utilization of a state-of-the-art Cyclonator closed loop-washed station that continuously recycles wash water within the systems.
- Utilization of an aerosol can disposal unit that empties out any remaining liquids and gases, thereby eliminating fumes and leftover paint in landfills.
- Steel shots used in our Wheelabrator and in our blasting booth are TCLP tested to ensure no hazardous materials are present and can be disposed as non-hazardous waste.
- Compliance with EPA/OSHA regulations on the handling and storage of special wastes. Hazardous wastes are handled and stored in designated containers and picked up by a certified hazardous waste disposal company.
Compliance with all Title V air pollution permit requirements. We also work very closely with our paint supplier to ensure our air emissions from paint operations do not exceed 3.5 VOCs/gal.
